The iSAM Model 1 Portable Tennis Ball machine is the perfect entry level ball machine for any player.  The iSAM is the industry's lightest ball machine, weighing in at less than 29 lbs.  (The electric only machine is 25 pounds!)  With its top speed over 60mph, this machine has all of the speed that a player needs but at a fraction of the cost.  You set the feed rate, the speed, the elevation (depth) and then decide whether you want the oscillation on or off.  The machine will do the rest, tirelessly throwing balls over the net until it is empty or you turn it off.

Although the standard power configuration is "Battery Only", the iSAM Model 1 can be ordered as "Electric Only".  In addition, a battery operated iSAM can be outfitted with a 110/220 VAC converter (to run off of AC) which can be purchased separately.
