The HOOP56 League is considered a "semi-competitive rec" division.  In general, the skill level is higher than what is found in a traditional rec league, but still not at the level of club/travel basketball.  For reference, consider the majority of players in the Open division to be at the level of 1st and 2nd round talent players from the rec division.  The Hoop56 League is a "bring your own team" format where registration is taken as an entire team, and each team must have their own coach.
