The University City Recreational Youth Basketball league offers two seasons. Winter League (December through February) for boys and girls 1-8. In the summer (June - August) the league is offered for boys and girls grades 1-8. Games are played at the Standley Park Community Center Gym.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
Due to the ongoing pandemic, some league-specific details are not yet certain at this time and may change by the time the Summer 2021 basketball league starts. Unlike our normal league seasons, we do not plan on scheduling skills assessments for the summer season and will instead rely on notes and information from previous seasons in addition to information provided by parents to create the most balanced teams possible within each division. As of March 8th, 2021, we anticipate the most likely scenario being a traditional league format for the summer season but having both practices and games for all teams played outdoors. Should regulations change and allow for indoor game play to happen, the league would move all games indoors (practices still outdoor) for the summer season. Lastly, should actual game play remain disallowed by city and/or state regulations, the summer 2021 season would have a somewhat similar format to our recent Winter Street Hoops training program. In this scenario, players would remain in their pod/teams for the duration of the season and practice once a week in addition to once a week scrimmages within the pod/team. Should the summer season start under the "Street Hoops" format, we would immediately shift to gameplay among different teams as soon as local regulations allow for that change to happen.
